Texas Hold'em Bonus Poker pits you against the Dealer in "heads-up"  hands, and either the Dealer or you -the player-, whoever has the best five-card poker hand at the end, will win. In other words, you only have to have a hand that beats the Dealer’s hand to win.

Five community cards (called the "Flop", "Turn", and "River") are dealt face-up. The Dealer is dealt two cards face-down and you are dealt two cards face-up. You predict whether or not your five-card poker hand will beat the Dealer's hand.

Hands are ranked according to standard poker rules (See Hand Ranks below).

Basic Game Rules

Texas Hold 'em Bonus Poker must be played by the following rules:

Initial Bets

1.  Start by putting up your bet in the spot marked "Ante" by clicking on the desired chips. This bet is required in order to receive a two-card hand also known as Hole Cards;

2.  You may also place a  Bonus Bet by clicking the Bonus spot on the felt and then the desired chips. This side bet does not interact with you and the Dealer comparing hands for the best poker rating (you may lose the base game and still collect on the Bonus Bet).

Note - If you chose to place a Bonus Bet, your Bonus Bet chips will be moved to the chip tray at the top of the felt before the cards are dealt again.

Dealing the Hands

3.  Click on "Deal" button, then you and the Dealer are dealt two cards; yours will be face-up, while the Dealer's will be face-down. These are the Hole Cards.  The cards are dealt "Blackjack-style".

Note: If your Hole cards match any of the combinations in the Bonus Bet payout table, you will be paid at this moment accordingly (see Bonus Bet payout table below or click on the Menu tab on the game screen).

Fold or Bet

4.  Now review your two-card hand and decide whether to "Fold" or "Bet" by clicking the the Fold or Bet buttons as appropriate;

5. Once you have placed both the Ante and Flop bets, they are "in for the finish" of the hand.

The Flop

6.  One card from the deck is now "burned" and then the following three are placed face-up on the felt. These community cards become the three-card Flop, also called "the Flop". The three-card Flop must remain in the Flop position in the center of the felt for you or the Dealer to view and use to complete your hands.

The Turn

7.  Now it is your turn to "Check" or "Bet" (to see the Turn card). The Turn is the fourth community card;

8.  If you choose to bet by clicking the Bet button, a bet amount equal to your Ante bet will be placed in the Turn spot,

9.  Another card is burned. Then  the next community is turned up and placed in the Turn position in the center of the felt  for you or the Dealer to view and use to complete your hands.

The River

10. Now it is your turn to "Check" or "Bet" (to see the River card). The River is the fifth and last of the community cards;

11. If you choose to bet by clicking the Bet button, a bet amount equal to your Ante bet will be placed in the River spot;

12. Another card is burned. Then  the last community is turned up and placed in the River position in the center of the felt  for you or the Dealer to view and use to complete your hands.

Settling the Hands: Take and Pay

13. Then the Dealer's two-card hand is faced up and combined with three or four of the community cards to create the best possible five-card poker hand. However, if the best possible poker hand proves to be the five community cards, then Dealer must "play the board" by using all five of the community cards instead. The poker ranking is then labeled right under the Dealer's cards;

14. At the same time your two-card hand is combined with three or four of the community cards to create the best possible five-card poker hand. If the best possible hand proves to be the community cards, then you are to challenge the Dealer's best poker hand by "playing the board"; in other words using all five community cards instead;

15. The higher poker ranking of the Dealer's best poker hand and yours wins.

Conditions

16.  If your card combination does not appear on the payout table, the bonus bet is taken by the Dealer.  Otherwise, the Bonus is paid as indicated in the payout table;

17. If a your hand value and the Dealer's hand value are equal, then the hands are considered a "push";

18. If your hand is a lesser value than the Dealer's hand, the Dealer takes your Ante, Flop, Turn, and River bets;

19. If your hand is a better value than the Dealer's hand, the Dealer shall pay you Flop, Turn, and River bets in even money (1 to1);

20. If your winning hand is a "Straight" or better, you shall be paid an additional amount equal to your Ante. Otherwise, you are given your Ante back.
